through A glass, darkly

It’s back! So let’s get right to it.

The episode starts with “the slap heard around the world” but Ali did deserve it. To have the chutzpa to show up at the funeral of the girl most people believe you killed, I bet A made her do it. Well the liars believe that Ali is A and find video of the murder and get Jason to change his story so Ali is in jail by the end of the episode. I hope there is an OITNB crossover that would be awesome!

Hanna brings in the Grunwald to try and find Mona’s body. All it does is freak her out a bit and make the petals fall off some flowers. We still have no idea where Mona is. Besides that Hanna doesn’t really do anything this episode beside have a flashback and inform Mona’s mom that there is a camera in the vent. I think Aria even spent more time with Caleb this episode.

Aria did not get into Oberlin; at least one of the Liars has applied to college. She believes that A may have sabotaged her acceptance so she asks Caleb to hack in to find out. He decides instead to teach her how to hack and we never find out if she was rejected because of A or on her own merit. Ezra is turning the Brew into a bookstore and gets Mike to help out so he could pester him about Mona, in the end Aria gets him open up and cry off screen. She also gets attacked by A and has the Mona’s laptop stolen.

Spencer is out on bail but Bethany’s parents want to revoke it. We find out the evidence that got her arrested was a hidden statement from Ali’s mom that just resurfaced. Detective Tanner and Officer Toby believe it was a cover-up linked to Radley. Spencer afraid that she will go to jail has Emily help her, first they look for evidence at Ali’s house, when they find nothing they then decide to plant some at Mona’s house but that’s when they find the camera in the vent. With the new video of Mona’s murder Ali is arrested and the charges against Spencer are dropped.

Besides helping her friends Emily is dealing with the Paige moving to California. They try every excuse but Paige’s parents (who we never have seen, see, or will see) don’t care, she has enough credits and they want her safe. They do get one of those romantic airport goodbyes thanks to a $69 ticket to AC (lucky they both departed from the same terminal). I hope that they are able to have a long distance relationship, it is easier these days with the interweb, and maybe next year they will go to the same college or at least colleges close to each other.

Once Ali is arrested the Liars feel safe and start planning their future without A since they believe that she is now behind bars. We knew this was not the case since there are so many more episodes left. The Liars find that out when the fireworks display make a huge red A in the sky and then fireworks rain down on them. I might be reading too much into that but it reminded me of the “Jena thing”.

Side thoughts

Ravenswood was canceled stop trying to bring it back.

I thought she was called the “Griswold” as if she was related to the family from the “vacation” movies

AC is pretty bad if you can’t gamble
I guess they can only have one detective at a time Holbrooke or Tanner but not both

Well that is all I have to say about that

  1. Why were they all wearing leis (sp?) at Mona's funeral? And maybe Grundwald was in this episode because she's out of work now that Ravenswood was cancelled and they felt bad for her.
